INTERVENTION SERVICES

Whilst many professionals undertake assessments one of the main difficulties for the referrer is what should happen after the assessments have been made. Included in this difficulty is that many individuals who make assessments are not in a position to carry out the intervention that is needed. This can lead to even more cost due to the fact that many agencies like ours would want to do their own assessments before undertaking any intervention. Referrers should always consider this before allocating work for assessment.

PROGRAMMES AVAILABLE

RWA (Ray Wyre Associates) have built their programmes around individual tailored work books. These books are made up from taking individual modules and applying the relevant modules to an individual client. This is based upon the fact that many accredited programmes are not designed to work, firstly with the type of client often referred to us and secondly even if the client has undertaken an accredited programme, there will still often be deficits within an individual that were not covered by the accredited programme. They also only offer group work whereas are work is normally carried out in a one to one relationship.

The work books we have at the moment are:

Offender work books

The offender in denial workbooks

Working with professional misconduct and the need to develop boundaries workbooks

The “Non Abusing partner workbooks” These are designed to help the partner understand the offending issues and be in a position to protect.

Internet Offender workbooks.

Included in any of these workbooks can be modules that deal with “domestic violence” anger management, and “religious”. Some staff also have skills in working with adults who have dependency problems. In addition staff bring a vast amount of experience that enable them to not just teach but help clients enter into a therapeutic process that seeks to encourage real change.
